Bike the Islands South of Bergen, 6 days

Pick up the rental bikes in Bergen.
Go by express boat to Sunde at 12.45 (not included in price). NB! There is no luggage transfer in Bergen, but the luggage is transported from Sunde to Rosendal. Bike from Sunde to Rosendal, 31 km.

Go for a bike ride, or choose one of the many hikes in the area. You can visit the Manor House with the beautiful rosegarden, or the Stonepark. You can also visit the Folgefonn Centre to learn about the Folgefonn National Park, Hardangerfjord area and the environment in general, or you can visit the floating experience center Salmon Eye.

During todays stage you will have some steep uphills. The road runs through lush farmlands, with lovely views of the Hardangerfjord. You take the ferry across the fjord and bike towards Uggdal.

Cycle to Hodnanes, take the ferry to Jektavik, and then bike to Leirvik, with two route options. We highly recommend the route via Onarheim to Hodnanes for less traffic and beautiful scenery. Leirvik, a small village on Stord Island, has a charming city center.

Bike from Leirvik via Fitjar to Sandvikvåg where you take the ferry across to Husavik. Then a short bike ride to Bekkjarvik. Some uphill from Leirvik to Sagvåg, then easy cycling through a lush cultural landscape.

After the final stages your bike tour ends, Bike to Hufthamar, 20 km + Express Boat to Bergen

The shortest route from Bekkjarvik to Hufthamar is 20 km, possible alternative routes. Take the express boat from Hufthamar to Bergen. Departure at 15.05, arrival Bergen at 15.50 Return rental bikes at the port in Bergen. There is no luggage transfer in Bergen.
